Reflect
Reflection by definition means: the throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it, it also means serious thought or consideration. In this project I explore both meanings of reflection. Everyday most people see a reflection of themselves more than 40 times a day. On average women will stare in the mirror alone 28 times a day. Reflections not always leaving people satisfied. Not only do we see reflections of ourselves but as humans we often reflect about ourselves, and many other things. We reflect on our lives, and on other people’s lives. We reflect about school, even about things we see such as movies, commercials, and ads. Most of all we reflect about what society has to say. This series of photographs use the meanings of reflection, they have a deeper meaning lying within the reflections. There of reflections and within they address things that are more commonly being reflected by people.
